Hormones are created by a dozen different organs and regulate thousands of bodily functions. Weight gain, stress, hair growth, and even emotional balance and mood are all controlled by the levels of hormones traveling through the body. When functioning properly, these chemical signals work like a well-tuned symphony, with each hormone playing its part. Too much or too little of a single hormone can throw off the whole orchestra. DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is called the anti-aging hormone. Produced in the adrenal glands, DHEA supports healthy aging when functioning properly, but when things are unbalanced it can have a negative impact. The DHEA Test is a simple, easy method of taking an in-depth look at your individual hormonal balance on a regular basis.

Hormones are delicate chemical messengers. Too much of one hormone can suddenly have you packing on pounds. Too little of another and you may feel forgetful, nervous, and irritable. Changes in diet and blood sugar can send levels skyrocketing. Most difficult of all, hormones are extremely sensitive to stress, both emotional and physical. Balancing your hormones is important for nearly all aspects of health, but trying to figure it out without proper data can feel like pure guesswork.
Testing for DHEA is an excellent idea for both men and women of all ages. The results can help you boost your longevity and regain your lost vitality. Once you have your results you'll gain insight into your individual aging process, helping you course correct to feel and look better.
DHEA is a steroid precursor, which means it is used to make more of the important chemical messengers that run our body.
DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is one of the most abundant circulating steroids in the body. DHEA is produced mainly in the adrenal glands and considered a hormone precursor. Through the process of normal metabolism, DHEA is converted into other hormones like testosterone and estrogen that help the body to function normally.
As a precursor, levels of DHEA naturally affect levels of other hormones. If DHEA levels are low, you may feel low energy, get easily fatigued, and have a decreased libido. Although DHEA levels naturally decrease over time, there are many ways to boost your levels. Lifestyle, diet, exercise, and even sleep can impact hormonal balance.
