When it comes to protecting your heart, watching your cholesterol and blood pressure won't always give you the complete picture. Inflammation levels are often a much better indicator of overall cardiovascular health and ongoing inflammation can lead to a number of other troubling health issues if left undetected. This at-home lab will measure the ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats in order to analyze if there may be concerning levels of inflammation, which can negatively impact numerous systems in the body.
When our body is experiencing unbalanced levels of inflammation, it can cause a multitude of health challenges that range from joint pain to high blood pressure or persistent fatigue. By looking closely at Omega-3 and Omega-6 ratio levels, you are getting to the potential root cause of the imbalances that are affecting your health. When our inflammation levels are not balanced, it shows up in our body as a range of health concerns from low mood, muscle aches, respiratory issues, and can also lead to more severe health issues like heart disease.
If you are ready to take charge of your health, then taking a close look at inflammation with this at-home lab, will provide a pivotal starting point to detect levels based on the ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 fats. Inflammation can reveal itself in a variety of ways. By taking crucial steps to pinpoint what the root cause is, you will be taking a proactive step toward heart health and improved wellness. Don't forget, research indicates that if your blood saturation levels of Omega-3's measure 9% or greater, your risk of a sudden cardiac event plummets by 90%!
Key measurement for looking at levels of inflammation throughout your body
Omega-3's and 6's are essential in the diet since our body can not manufacture them on its own. Omega-6's also serve an important purpose and are more widely available in the diet, so there's a potential for imbalance between inflammatory and anti-inflammatory fats.
Optimal levels of omega-3's result in decreased inflammation which works to support cardiovascular health, cognitive function, mood, immune function, and provide nutrients for healthy skin, hair, and nails.
AA (Arachidonic Acid) from processed foods, fried foods, fatty cuts of animal protein can throw off our AA/EPA ratio leading to more inflammation in the body
For optimal health AA/EPA ratio is 5:1 or better
