The microbiome is a complex ecosystem that lives inside of us. Just like a natural ecosystem, biodiversity is key. In a healthy gut ecosystem, thousands of strains of bacteria and fungi interact to help break down food and extract energy for the body. But if one species begins to overpower the others, it can be difficult to rebalance the gut and establish order. Stress levels, genetics, diet, and exposure to toxins all provide opportunities for harmful and unwanted microbes that can alter your microbiome balance.
Once this has happened, it can feel impossible to get back on track. Trying to fix your internal ecosystem overnight or without expert help can only making things more confusing. The CBO Protocol is a carefully formulated protocol that works to disrupt biofilms, reduce unwanted microbes, and slowly rebalance and replenish beneficial microbes. Using the best of modern science and the benefits of Ayurvedic herbs, the CBO Protocol has helped thousands of people regain control over their digestion, gut health and bodies.
Good health starts in the gut. Over 100 trillion microbes help the body to digest, break down, and extract energy from food. There are countless species of bacteria and fungus that comprise the microbiome. Certain "bad" microbes prefer sugar and high carbohydrate diets. Once fed diets high in carbohydrates, sugar, and alcohol, these "bad" microbes can begin to cause problems by releasing metabolites into the body that can trigger an immune response. Rebalancing the microbiome is a complex and often difficult process for most people. Many people attempt countless different probiotics, kombucha, fermented foods, and other remedies to no avail.
The CBO protocol is designed to slowly and gradually alter the balance of these ecosystems, by first creating a hospitable environment in which these microbes can flourish. Just as restoring ecosystems in the wild cannot be accomplished by simply releasing animals into habitats where they once thrived, the CBO protocol takes a holistic approach to rebalancing the gut, in three key steps.
Maintaining a healthy gut requires far more than just eating right. Factors ranging from stress and genetics can impact gut health. Healthy Belly utilizes botanical extracts to support gut barrier integrity, promotes microfloral balance, and soothes common gastrointestinal discomforts helping to create a more balanced microbiome.
Combining distilled botanical extracts and a range of B-Vitamins, Gut Bacterial Support provides targeted ingredients designed to create an environment inhospitable to unwanted bacteria while fostering a space for beneficial microbial strains to grow.
Selecting the right probiotic for you can a complicated and tedious task. While most probiotics only provide one or two strains, the Clean Gut Probiotic provides nine strains of probiotic organisms (bacteria and beneficial fungus) to help rebalance your gut. The Clean Gut Probiotic utilizes well-researched organisms that work in symbiosis with each other and the natural strains of the gut.
Candida Complex is the powerful complex used to alter the internal gut environment during the CBO Protocol. Working in conjunction with other synergistic supplements, Candida Complex incorporates powerful botanicals as well as well-studied compounds known to alter gut microbial balance, to promote a healthier gut.
Biofilms are colonies of bacteria that pose many challenges to immunity and digestion. FloraFilm is a natural blend of enzymes that helps disrupt and dissolve these biofilms of unwanted bacteria and fungus to aid digestion and improve gut health.
Most probiotics provide bacteria while overlooking other beneficial microbes. In order to balance gut microbe populations, a greater diversity of species is needed. Saccharomyces Boulardii is a probiotic yeast that promotes a healthy gut microbial balance, strengthens the protective function of the gut barrier, aids digestion, and enhances overall immunity.
Biofilms are formed by colonies of bacteria and fungus, much like dental plaque. These thin layers of lipids adhere to each other and to the gut lining. Unwanted strains of bacteria and fungus can take harbor and evade natural elimination by the immune system by hiding in a biofilm. BioFilm Disruptor delivers a targeted set of enzymes formulated to dissolve and break up biofilms, without disrupting regular gut function.
Microbial Balance is a blend of important minerals, herbal supplements, and botanical extracts that support a healthy balance of beneficial microbes in the gut. This specific formulation combines ingredients that have been used for generations to promote microbial balance, without any harsh ingredients that may cause digestive distress.
This protocol is very simple to follow. Especially considering the many issues that it will help alleviate!
So far so good!!
So far so good! This is my gut protocol I’ve done and im excited for the healing. 😊
It may be a bit early to write a solid review being that I am one week in on this 3 month protocol. Since I was asked to review, I will do so with my experience so far. The ease of dosing is awesome. I had a headache and constipation the first day or two but that subsided quickly. The daily nutritional shake (purchased separately) is an easy way to get in the nutrition for breakfast and, it tastes good. My only complaints so far is that I do not have social media (which they suggest to join a group on Facebook for recipes) so finding recipes within the recommended parameters has been challenging. It’s been hard to make things not taste bland in my opinion and some tried and true recipes would be awesome. When I purchased I was under the impression there would be a little more guidance on what to eat. I had to reach out to customer support on a couple occasions to get the diet guide and protocol instructions. The box my protocol came in had a link to go to for more info and it had very little, if any helpful info. My protocol kit also did not include instructions of any sort. I find with protocols like these, diet is where people fall off the map and don’t get the results they want because they don’t know what to eat. That would be my number one recommendation, have a recipe section for the protocol easily accessible, not just to those with a Facebook account. Other than that, I look forward to the results and being able to add more things back (for flavor) after the initial 21 days. For sake of informational use, I have struggled for years with candida and I eat garlic and onion in abundance so I may have a little more aversion to how bland everything tastes to me. With that said, if it does in fact add to a candida problem, I am beyond hopeful that removing these things for the protocol will finally bring me lasting results. I will continue getting creative in trying to make things taste as flavorful so that maybe in the future I will use those two things more sparingly. I know that there is a level of eating for pleasure and not just need and so I am too working on changing how I view what I am eating. Happy healing to you.
I’m one week into the CBO protocol and so far so good. I have had one day that I didn’t feel great and I’m hoping the sugar bugs in my belly are dying off! I did a 14 day detox before starting the CBO protocol and hoping for great results.
