Hormones act as chemical messengers in the body that are carried through the bloodstream to cells and organs. For men, hormones are essential for growth, reproductive health, and overall well-being. Testosterone is the most important male sex hormone, needed for sexual health and reproduction. It's the catalyst for physical changes and growth during puberty and continues to impact sperm count. Additionally, testosterone affects bone health, mood, and sex drive. This at-home lab will provide clarity on your levels of testosterone and DHEA hormone levels to identify potential imbalances.
Our hormones naturally fluctuate over time and throughout various stages of life but when a hormonal imbalance occurs, there are numerous ways it can affect our bodily functions, often leading to an increase of stress and strain in our daily routines. Hormones can become out of balance mainly due to age, but poor diet or lack of exercise can also contribute. When it occurs, metabolism, heart rate, sleep, mood, and sexual function can be directly effected. So it's vital to measure current testosterone levels as studies have shown that low levels may increase risk of certain health conditions.
Hormones are essential for men's health and well-being. Testosterone is the most important androgen (male sex hormones) that regulates reproductive and sexual function from teen years through middle age. For men, when hormonal imbalance is at play, symptoms can range from weight gain, irritability, and increased appetite. When testosterone levels are low, you may also experience adverse sleep patterns and sexual health. Combined with low energy and difficulty focusing, getting hormones back on track to normal levels can help you to achieve physical and mental health improvements for optimal well-being.
The most important male sex hormone that plays an essential role in the body
In men's health, it regulates libido, bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm. Levels that are too high or too low can have adverse effects on reproductive function, metabolism, and mood.
Naturally produced in the adrenal glands, DHEA is converted by the body into testosterone and other sex hormones
Often used as a steroid supplement to boost fitness performance, it can also act as anti-aging treatment and can alleviate depression symptoms. It has also been shown to strengthen bone tissue, increase sex drive and contribute to boost in memory.
