Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones and teeth, and also helps keep your muscles, nerves, and immune system working properly. Unfortunately, Vitamin D deficiencies are very common. Adults are a high risk when they have limited sun exposure, insufficient intake from dietary sources, or impaired intestinal absorption. If you suffer from poor health due to low levels of Vitamin D, this test will identify potential deficiencies, so you can increase your intake and work toward strengthening your body's immunity, nervous system, and bone health.
If your Vitamin D levels are low enough to be considered a deficiency, you may experience a wide range of symptoms that include muscle aches, bone weakness, and fatigue. Left untreated, a Vitamin D deficiency may lead to more serious health issues down the road. If you're at high risk from insufficient sunlight exposure, obesity, a strict vegan diet, or digestive tract health issues, this test will be a cornerstone to determining if there's a crucial need to increase your Vitamin D dosage leading you to better health and wellness.
