What’s Measured
- Nutritional Markers: Identify nutrient imbalances In order for the body to run effectively, it needs the right level of vitamins to act as cofactors for enzymatic reactions.
- Without enough of these nutritional cofactors (or if someone has genetic mutations that affect how well their enzymes work), these chemical pathways are unable to function optimally.
- Vitamin B12: Supports energy production and healthy nerve function. Vitamin B6: Plays a role in mood regulation and brain health.
- Vitamin B5: Helps convert food into energy and supports hormone balance. Vitamin B2: Important for energy production and maintaining healthy skin.
- Vitamin C: A powerful antioxidant that supports the immune system and skin health. CoQ10 (Vitamin Q10): Helps produce cellular energy and supports heart health.
- N-Acetylcysteine (NAC): A key antioxidant that helps the body produce glutathione for detoxification. Biotin (Vitamin H): Supports healthy hair, skin, and nails.
- Uracil (Folate Metabolism): Helps assess folate metabolism, important for cell health and DNA function.
- Detoxification Capacity: Provides insight into your body's ability to detoxify effectively and identify potential glutathione imbalances Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant in our cells and protects against toxicity.
- Inadequate glutathione increases oxidative stress in the brain and nervous system and can lead to poor attention, focus, and overall cognitive challenges.
- Glutathione deficiency can also compromise immune system health. Glutathione is an essential compound involving liver detoxification of chemicals.
- Pyroglutamic (Glutathione Levels): Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that supports detoxification and protects cells from oxidative stress. Low glutathione levels may affect focus, cognitive function, and immune health.
- 2-Hydroxybutyric (Methylation & Toxic Exposure): Elevated levels may suggest potential challenges with methylation, a process that supports detoxification and overall health, or possible exposure to environmental toxins.
- Orotic Acid (Ammonia Excess): High levels of orotic acid may indicate that your body is having difficulty breaking down ammonia, a natural waste product from protein metabolism, which could impact your detoxification capacity.
- 2-Hydroxyhippuric: The presence of elevated 2-hydroxyhippuric acid levels may indicate: Aspartame Sensitivity: Potential sensitivity to aspartame, a common artificial sweetener.
- Salicylate Sensitivity: Possible sensitivity to salicylates found in various foods and medications. Gut Imbalance: Potential indications of gut bacterial imbalances that could influence digestion.
