Thyroid Panel Test

The Complete View of Your Thyroid and Metabolism
30-Minute Health Coaching Call Included

Your thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland that sits just below your larynx and produces the vital hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). Every cell in the body depends on these thyroid hormones for metabolism regulation. If these hormones drop too low, the pituitary gland will produce additional Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) to stimulate hormone production. If you have concerns about your energy level, metabolism or overall wellbeing, it is critical to evaluate the balance of these intricately connected hormones with this comprehensive thyroid panel test.

What is Measured

T3

Triiodothyronine (T3) is an important hormone for digestive function, metabolism and bone health.

Through a process called deiodination, your body will convert Thyroxine (T4) into Triiodothyronine (T3). While the balance of each hormone is key to understanding the bigger picture, too much T3 may be an indicator of an overactive thyroid gland.

+
T4

Thyroxine (T4) is one of the 2 main hormones produced and released by the thyroid gland.

Because T4 is needed for the conversion of T3, the balance of each of these hormones is of vital importance. T4 is responsible for your metabolism, mood, body temperature and much more.

+
TSH

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) plays a key role by telling your thyroid gland to release hormones T3 and T4.

Your hypothalamus, located in your brain, first releases something called thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which in turn triggers the pituitary gland to produce TSH. Without TSH, T3 and T4 would not be released, causing the intricate system of hormones to fail.

+
TPOab

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (TPO) is an enzyme made in the thyroid gland that is important for production of thyroid hormones.

Antibodies to TPO are produced within the body and can be indicators of an underlying immune system imbalance. Understanding your levels of TPO antibodies can further help you get to the root cause of a potential thyroid imbalance.

Good but would like to see Reverse T3

It would be great if Reverse T3 was added to this
