What is Measured

Testosterone

Testosterone is the primary sex hormone and anabolic steroid, present in both men and women.

Testosterone is produced in the adrenal cortex, in the testes in men, and in the ovaries in women. Free testosterone is testosterone unbounded to a protein structure, and therefore circulating through the body. The amount of this free testosterone is a good indicator of how much testosterone is present in your body overall.

Free testosterone is a biologically active form of this important hormone. This test can help identify whether you have low testosterone levels, normal testosterone levels, or high testosterone levels.

Great to Know!

I am in perimenopause and am keeping an eye on my hormone levels. These tests are really helpful for me to understand what to do or not do, as well as validate how I am feeling. This information is invaluable for me to better understand how to respond and help my body during this time.

Simple and straighforward

This is my first time taking this test. The directions were clear and concise. They were pretty accurate that the test took about 15ish minutes to complete. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Very happy I was able to test

First time doing this test and glad I did because I am very out of range. Now I am informed and empowered on how to correct some of my imbalances.
